Con el uso de tecnologías de última generación en el área audiovisual y con material cultural inédito creado especialmente para este espacio, el museo municipal de Villa Cerro Castillo lidera una nueva oferta cultural para la comuna y la provincia.
Como parte de los fondos asignados al proyecto de Mejoramiento Integral de Museos, 2023. El equipo que trabajó en la propuesta museal de actualización, definió la utilización de un espacio existente dentro del edificio, pero que no desempeñaba algún objetivo específico.
Es así que, con esta actualización, la sala servirá para la proyección permanente de material audiovisual que rescata el gran legado patrimonial inmaterial de la comuna, así como también de su particular sonoridad y escenarios, únicos en el mundo y que le dan el sello distintivo a la zona y que atrae a miles de visitantes de todo el mundo.
Arreo de ganado, festival de jineteadas, arqueología, esquila de ovejas, flora y fauna, humedales y muchos otros mini documentales se proyectarán constantemente durante los horarios de funcionamiento del museo. Obras audiovisuales producidas por Matías Alvarez Leiva, destacado profesional del área y que promueven el rescate y preservación de nuestro patrimonio cultural inmaterial y paisajístico.

Using state-of-the-art audiovisual technologies and featuring culturally unique materials created specifically for this space, the Municipal Museum of Villa Cerro Castillo leads a new cultural offering for the commune and province.
As part of the funds allocated to the 2023 Comprehensive Museum Improvement Project, the team behind the museum’s update proposal identified an existing space within the building that previously served for no specific purpose.
Thus, with this update, the hall will now be used for the permanent projection of audiovisual materials that showcase the commune’s rich intangible heritage, as well as its distinctive soundscape and landscapes—attributes that are unique worldwide and lend the area its distinctive character, attracting thousands of visitors from around the globe.
Content such as cattle herding, rodeo festivals, archaeology, sheep shearing, flora and fauna, wetlands, and many other mini documentaries will be continuously projected during the museum’s operating hours. These audiovisual works are produced by Matías Alvarez Leiva, a distinguished professional in the field, promoting the rescue and preservation of our intangible cultural and landscape heritage.
